We
have been on several trips; some ended for much longer period than we expected
because of how beautiful the locations were, while some ended just as we
estimated it to last long as we had our work ships to continue with! But we
enjoyed to our fullest, each day and every day, and not just at the
destinations but also while traveling. We gave ourselves, the buckets of
popcorns of joy during our long screenings of vacation, and enjoyed throughout
the intervals, in comfortable and cozy beddings. Vacations have never left us
in a grumpy mood or tired body, we always end up being more positive and
refreshed from the tour, while going back to our home.
But
whenever we think of our old experiences, which were lived as the new ones at
that time, we think of going for other ones as soon as possible. Either it has
been a very long time since we have been onto one, or we are about to go for
the next one, whenever we get the flashbacks in our minds, Reminding ourselves
about all the happy moments, laughs and smiles, delicious food and cherishing
locations which worked most of the magic, etc; gave us new hopes from the
location itself and made us realize how big this world is for us, yet to be
explored.
We
often sit and just keep thinking about those banks and rivers, which gave the
cooler effect in the atmosphere than our noisy and bustling cities, crowded to
an extent that we only get to breathe sweat and dirt. Or those nights, when we
set up our camps with bonfires near the edges of mountains and talk about life,
philosophy and ghosts. Also, we can never forget about those times, when we
were sailing through rivers and fighting the raging rapids with our pads and
rafting paddles! We all have had our share of adventure and have tasted that
combination of thrill and fear, while enjoying our vacations.

But
due to less time in hands, mostly, we are not able to cover up most our
exploration deeds and hence; postpone the trip, go back home and wish for the
next one to happen ASASP! We generate our vacation goals through our old trips
and experiences, those memories which were probably going to extend but got a
limit restriction, because the red card of “go-back-home” slapped through our
faces. But with old experiences, our vacation goals are far better planned.
With
knowing what to do, where to go, what to eat, whom to meet/approach, how to be
there, closer estimate to our potential expenditures, what that location has,
what we can do there, what is exciting/thrilling, etc; we get to know about
everything and with lessons from our old trips, we are able to learn a lot. We
get to be at the right place, on right time, with right resources – both in the
form of people and necessities.
Collecting
memories from old trips make us remember how stupid/foolish we were at few
moments, and what saved our cost/efforts in some other moments, beside all the
laughing and smiling moments, when we saw the sky above us and thanked to all
the opportunities; we got in this trip. The best moments and the worst moments,
amidst all the moments, taught us how to be responsible, saver, adventurous,
and most of all; happy while enjoying our vacations throughout. All of these
little elements from our past experiences teach us how to redefine our vacation
goals, and think about the thrilling future.
Just
like life, we have this urge to be in the present and live it out loud. Our
goals depend upon what we wish to do and what we actually do. If they are
balanced out in the end, then we are assumed to be the goal achievers but if we
somehow, are not able to achieve them or balance the equation, then we sound
disappointed towards our life. Then it may as well result into huge wastage of
money/cost and efforts.
